A “Hello Summer” theme Bunco party can be a fun way to celebrate the season. We love this theme paired with bright colors and watermelon decor to really make it feel summery and refreshing! Here are some ideas to make it a delightful event.

Decorations and Party Setup
Make sure you choose a bright and fun color scheme! We really love shades of red, pink, and green that incorporate the watermelon theme as well. You can ask your guests to wear these colors, or ask them to dress in “Summer attire” (this could mean lots of things— sundresses, beach cover-ups, or even swim attire if you’re hosting your bunco party poolside.) You can even offer a prize for most festive, or for something specific, like cutest flip-flops or funkiest sunglass.
When party time arrives, you could use chalk to draw watermelon slices and a “Welcome to Bunco” sign on the sidewalk leading up to the party entrance. Once inside, create a “Welcome station” with a fun backdrop, using watermelon balloons or a watermelon colored tassel garland like the one in the photo above! The welcome station is a great spot to also include a welcome sign and any party favors you want to hand out to welcome your guests. We thought these watermelon glasses were adorable, and would make for a really cute bunco photo op!
Fun and Refreshing Summer Snacks
If you have a watermelon theme for your Bunco party, you have to serve watermelon, of course! We were able to find a ton of great ways to incorporate everyone’s favorite summer fruit into your menu, no matter if you’re planning on serving lite bites or a full meal. We found the cutest idea for watermelon ice, which would be great to serve up in anything from cocktails to mocktails, or even just water! If you have a sweet tooth, these watermelon rice krispie treats would do the trick. We also pinned some amazing looking watermelon appetizers, such as these watermelon and mozzarella skewers, and my personal favorite, a watermelon and arugula salad.
